The Thewphaingarm School English Program was founded in 1999 (2542) by the director at that time, Dr. Nahathai Thewphaingam, who received permission from the Ministry of Education to begin an English program for K1 - G12. This program, known as TSEP began with 12 students and in less than five years has grown to over 350. There are currently eighteen Thai and twenty four native-English speaking teachers. These numbers are constantly growing along with our program. The curriculum consists of 70% English and 30% Thai content. TSEP offers a Thai curriculum which has been shaped using the influence of both English and American disciplines for language and science development. Additionally, Singaporean mathematics has been employed for optimum learning. The overall curriculum is continually updated and improved.
As an English program, TSEP offers advantages that a regular Thai program or an international program cannot. Our students gain a quality education and a high level of language competency in English, which enables them to be global leaders. Coupled with Thai language and history, our students retain their cultural heritage. In addition TSEP is a more affordable alternative than that offered by international schools.
